Diet Tip

Assalamualaikum.
Greetings everyone..

Fist of all.. HIP HIP.. HURRAYYYY!! *hahaha*

I just feel like cheering. ^_^ no particular reason..

I never mentioned before that I once enrolled in a diet program. It was not that I'm obese or what (because I think 159 cm and 56kg WAS not bad) I did it while I was still teaching in Kudat last year. I did it because I was attracted to their program and just because I love to pamper myself. Of course I was hoping that I could get the shape like those models which is I know it might not coming true anyway. Hahah.

Never mind about that. My sister asked me to help her with her diet program because she desperately wants to shed few kilos. So, since I've shared the tips with her, why not I share it with other, right? :)

When I first sign up for the program, of course I was hoping that their modern machine and magic hands to transform my lines into models-like body-line just like that. That was my first impression. But I was wrong. Before I proceed to the treatment (which I forgot the name), I was given a briefing or more or less like a counseling(?) by June about our body related to weight loss. It was a program that combine the treatment with healthy diet.

The key is very simple. Watch what you eat! I was given a food chart that i have to religiously write down what exactly I eat. The program needs me to take 6 meals a day which are breakfast, morning tea, lunch, evening tea, dinner and supper. But the total of calories intake must not exceed 1200kcal. They also given me a nutrition chart which is basically a list of food with their respective number of calories.
my own food chart :)

The mathematics is simple. Used energy must be more then energy consumed. That means you have to burn more than 1200kcal a day to make sure your body to use the forever stored fat so that that extra kilos that you've been carrying can be cut off.

One more important thing is water consumption. The nutritionist advised me to drink at least 1.5l water/liquid a day. 1.5l water is equal to a bottle of mineral water. So, that sounds ok for me. But how to keep track that you've consumed enough? Use your own water container. So you know how much you've drank. Why do all the diet program encourage us to drink water? I have the answer. It is because, the more liquid gets into your system, the more less fat will build up in your system. It's like playing a jonkang jongket (see saw). The other element will take up the empty space left by the other element. So, we surely don't want fat rules the system, do we? ;) Another reason is our body function at its best when there's enough liquid :)

So, how do the dietitian/nutritionist/consultant knows if we already take enough liquid?

Owh.. they have the machine dear.. At the beginning of every treatment session, they will put you on a weighing scale that also have the function of scanning your feet. Thats why the consultant will have to ask me to take off thee slipper they gave me earlier so that the machine can scan my feet. I'm not quite clear how it works but they have it printed with your weight.

Does the whole program work? I will say yes. I only manage to complete few treatment session but I can already see the changes. Not only physically but the most is mentally. From that point, I started to really mind what goes to into my mouth. But first, you have to start write down what you eat. Trust me. If you dont, you may not be able to follow the healthy diet.

What makes me happy about the whole thing, I was eating healthy food. Well, mostly ^_^.

I myself was not sure whether my  new eating that lead to the weight loss or the treatment. But if asked, I think it was more to my eating habit. The treatment helps the process. Or is it vise versa? Maybe. *wink wink*

So, I think we can start watch what we eat (for me again ;p). Love our body.

Random thought : Boleh kut nak buat food chart untuk family ;op hehehe
